Programme Manager & District Program Officer – HERD: Health research and social Development Forum (HERD), in the capacity of Sub Receipt (SR), is supporting to implement the National TB Program (NTP), funded by The Global fund in partnership with Save the Children International and close coordination with National  Tuberculosis Centre (NTC). To implement this programme in province 3, HERD is seeking experienced and dynamic Nepali applicants for the following positions;

Programme Manager- Job Profile 

S.N. Assessment criteria Essential Desirable
1 Academic Qualification/Training Masters in Public Health, or related discipline with minimum 5 years of working experience or Bachelor in Public health or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of working experience
2 Experience At least 5 years of practical work experience in the National TB Program especially in Program coordination or Management. Strong academic background and work experience on intensive TB Program management.
3 Knowledge Knowledge and experience in communicable disease control with local resources and community mobilization.
4 Skills and Abilities Excellent report writing skills, Excellent computer skills and proficiency in excel, word, outlook, and access. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to look at situations from several points of view. High comfort level working in a diverse environment.

 

5 Attributes Commitment to social justice and mission. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
6 Especial Competencies Decision-making skills, Planning, and delivery of work,  Ability to work effectively with others, communication with others, Influencing others, Organizational awareness, Managing change, Continual improvement

 

 

District Program Officer- Job Profile 
S.N. Assessment criteria Essential Desirable
1 Academic Qualification/Training Masters in Public Health, or related discipline with minimum 1 year of working experience or Bachelor in Public health or related discipline with minimum 2 years of working experience
2 Experience Prior experience of working with government stakeholders Strong background and work experience in field program implementation
3 Knowledge Knowledge and proven academic experience of National Tuberculosis Programme policies and guidelines. Good track record of working at the program implementation level for disease control program preferably TB control.
4 Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently provides leadership to the team, and assist in building skills Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent people manager. Delegate responsibilities effectively. Ability to look at situations from several points of view. High comfort level working in a diverse environment
