Vacancy – Monitoring, Evaluation and Knowledge Management Officer

DanChurchAid (DCA) is a faith-based, Danish non-missionary organization. We work for the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded communities and believe in life before death. In Nepal, we are involved in several thematic areas with our work focusing on resilient livelihood and food security, active citizenship, and humanitarian response and DRR (Disaster Risk Reduction). 

DCA is implementing a SAHAS Project (strengthening the capacity of earthquake affected families with children and helping them attain a resilient society) from 1st July 2017 to 30 June 2020. The project areas are situated in Dhading, and Gorkha districts where the project follows a multi – sectoral approach in partnership with other governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The DCA Nepal invites applications from qualified and competent candidates for the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Knowledge Management Officer. The position is based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits.

Key Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for overall planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation system regarding SAHAS project and it’s implementing partners ensuring organizations’s overall strategic goals and result areas.

S/he will further be responsible for strengthening knowledge management, information management, and documentation. S/he would be also responsible for partner’s capacity building, coordination, and networking. In addition, s/he will be responsible for writing case studies, human interest stories and produce brochures and flyers. 
Required qualifications and competencies
Applicants for the job should have a Bachelor degree with minimum three to five years of relevant work experience. The position requires strong knowledge on program cycle management, planning, monitoring, and documentation and knowledge management. Excellent communication skills including in report writing, in both English and Nepali. Good facilitation skill, experience in building capacity of implementing partners. Good skills on information management system, data analysis, and interpretation, excellent skill in data collection and analysis. Excellent knowledge and skill with word, excel, SPSS and other database management
