Invitation to participate in Art Competition Theme – ”Make primary health care work : find and include those not getting health care”
The World Health Organization South-East Asia Regional Office invites individuals of all ages to join an art competition being organized on the occasion of World Health Day, celebrated to mark the foundation of the World Health Organization on 7 April 1948.
The theme of the art competition is ‘Make primary health care work: find and include those not getting health care.’ Primary health care is the cornerstone of universal health coverage (UHC), which seeks to ensure everyone everywhere gets the health care they need, without facing financial hardship. UHC is a flagship priority programme of WHO in South-East Asia Region. It’s now also a global priority of WHO and at the center of the health targets of the Sustainable Development Goals. The focus is to ‘leave no one behind’. With a focus on equity, on this World Health Day, WHO asks everyone to join hands to identify and include those not getting health care services. These may include any services – for example, for prevention, promotion, treatment or rehabilitation Here is your opportunity to contribute to create awareness, through your creativity.
WHO can participate – Anyone, any age group.
WHAT – art work of any kind. It should be your original work.

WHEN – By 14 March 2019, 1730 hours (New Delhi time)
Prizes – There will be three prizes in each of the two age groups – under 16 years and 16 years and above.
All entries will be screened by a panel on 15 March 2019 for concept and creativity. Candidates whose entries are shortlisted would be required to submit their original work to reach WHO South-East Asia Regional Office by 31 March 2019. The award winners will be announced on 5 April 2019.
