Health scientists’ meet being organised today
A conference of public health scientists is being organised tomorrow by Nepal Health Research Council.
Speaking at press meet today, the council’s Executive Director Dr Anjani Kumar Jha said NHRC was the body responsible for conducting research in fields relating to health in line with health priorities identified in the national health policy.
It also defines health research needs and sets research priorities for the national health system.
Researchers should get ethical clearance from the council to conduct research. In 2017, 550 researchers got ethical approval from the council. Jha said 65 research papers and 67 posters related to public health will be presented in the conference. More than 1,000 researchers and public health practitioners will participate in the programme.”
