Call for Youth Scholarships MenstruAction ‘Summit on Menstrual Health’: Call for Youth Scholarships: The MHM summit,” MenstruAction. No time to rest: Ensuring every girl in Nepal can thrive on her period” is being co-hosted by GIZ Nepal and Menstrual Health Management (MHM) Alliance on 11th December 2018 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The country’s first summit on MHM will follow and build upon the First National Conference on Adolescent Health and Development (AHD) that took place in 2016, in Nepal. The conference will bring together leading policymakers, practitioners, researchers, adolescent and youth representatives and media from the country, region and international expertise to learn and share about MHM experiences and innovations on Menstrual Health Management.
Since, adolescents and youth are impertinent while discussing about MHM experiences, and designing MenstruAction interventions, the conference is providing scholarship to 30 youth to participate in the conference.

What does youth scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers registration to the summit, which is valued at Rs. 25,000/- per person. The registration includes participation in the summit sessions, delegate packs and meals included for the day of the summit. The scholarship does not cover travel, accommodation or incidental cost for participants from valley or outside.

No. of Scholarships offer: scholarship to 30 young people.


  • Youth aged 16- 24 years
  • Nepalese citizen
  • Who identify themselves as advocates or activists on furthering Menstrual Health in Nepal 
  • Available on 11th December to attend the summit, and is willing to share the learning of the summit with others, and continue to take MenstruActions.

What do you need to do?
Submit a video explaining your passion on furthering menstrual health in Nepal and how you and your community may benefit from your participation in the conference.

Video guidelines:

  • Needs to be at least 30 seconds to maximum 90 seconds in length.
  • Does not need to be of very high quality and technology, but should be in a format that is viewable on a 14″ laptop device.

Upload the video on your Youtube or Dropbox or Drive or any other channel and send the link in the email. Please make sure that the video is “view public” settings so that we can look at it, and check the link before you send it to us. If the link does not work, we will not be obliged to revert back to you.
